Christopher would rather divorce her than leave her a grieving military widow. How can Lydia condemn him to a life of misery if he no longer loves her? When an earthquake traps them in the lawyer’s office, they realize who rocks their world.
4-1/2 Blue Ribbon Review! My husband used to tell me that 'if the military wanted soldiers to have families then they'd issue them.' Caitlyn Willows does a wonderful job showing just how emotionally demanding the military is on not just soldiers, but their families as well. Christopher has this convoluted idea that by divorcing Lydia he can 'save' her from heartache, I couldn't decide if I wanted to shake him or hug him. Lydia's a strong young woman with the tenacity of a pit bull. That tenacity and her refusal to accept spousal support ultimately leads to a second chance though neither of them is prepared for the tremors that they have to admit ROCK MY WORLD. ~Chrissy Dionne, Romance Junkies
It was heart breaking to listen to the inner thoughts as both Lydia and Chris tried to rationalize what was happening. Their love won out and the sizzle of their loving should have melted the wall that blocked them in – it was that hot. This is a quick, steamy and heartwarming read, one I would definitely recommend.~Lynda, Simply Romance Reviews
FOUR STARS! Rock My World is one of the most engaging and romantic stories I have ever read.... The romance and passion in Rock My World is second to none. This story is sure to stick with me for a very long time. This is my first time reading Caitlyn Willows, but it definitely will not be my last. She just garnered herself a huge fan! ~Amanda, Manic Readers Reviews
FOUR ENCHANTMENTS! I really enjoyed this book. A lot of emotions going around I could really feel the emotions that Christopher and Lydia were going through. Broke my heart reading their thoughts of how truly they loved each other. Being a short book there is a lot of sex. This book is definitely not for the weak at heart. Caitlyn Willows puts a lot of emotion in her books. ~Kim, Enchanting Reviews
EXCERPT
More emotion. Would it ever stop?
He shut the door and started her way, never once taking his gaze from her. Tan Dockers always molded against his perfect ass. She longed for just a glimpse of that view. His periwinkle golf shirt showed off the V in his torso. He walked with a barely perceptible limp now. Soon the only evidence of what he’d endured would be the scar streaking down his side like a jagged bolt of lightning.
Lydia fought the urge to let her gaze drop to his crotch, to see if he was glad to see her. Afraid she might not find what she was looking for, she kept her eyes riveted above the waist. In her mind she double-checked her appearance—a simple red dress with small white polka dots and low heeled sandals. It was casual, but could double for work attire if she decided she couldn’t bear the aloneness of their house after this. She thought she looked good, but what did Christopher think? Did he long for her? Remember their first kiss, their first date, the first time they’d had sex?
He was twenty feet away from her and her pulse was pounding so loud, Lydia wondered if she’d go deaf from the sound. Then he took off those sunglasses and stuffed them into the shirt pocket. His brown eyes swept over her face like the hands that had once roamed her naked body. And she knew then why she’d fought so hard against divorce. She loved him, loved him with every atom of her body. Nothing in heaven, earth, or hell would ever change that. Loved him with a passion that staggered the imagination. Wanted him more than she wanted food or water. Needed him more than air to breathe.
And she knew something else, too—she could love, need, and want him until the stars winked out, but all her love was for nothing if he didn’t love her back. If she loved him, how could she condemn him to a life of misery with her? If she loved him, she had to give him what would make him happy. She had to let him go.
